Bharatstudent - 3.25/5
This is the second last offering from the great Dr Vishnu and his aura takes over the audience. While the first half goes about with the lighter elements of sentiment, comedy and drama, the second half takes a serious turn and involves action packed sequences. This is a mix of good dose of commercial elements but more than anything, it is one of those moments that the phoenix of Kannada cinema will no longer be seen. So sentimentally and practically, the film will click at the box office.

Emotional King Dr Vishnuvaradhan touches every heart. The agile looks and controlled performance surely leaves every audience to say he should not have died so early in his life. The combination of late Dr Vishnuvardhana, Suhasini Manirathnam and Dinesh Baboo come together and there are some scenes that bring tears in your eyes. Starting off casually holding the emotions in the middle, director Baboo gives an unexpected climax.

I would say my films were zero without Dr Vishnuvardhan. Success beckoned only when Dr Vishnuvardhan acted in them.

Ambareesh - Actor
With the death of Vishnu, I have lost one of my greatest friends. He was my guiding force for 35 years.

S V Rajendra Singh Babu - Director
I have lost a friend with whom I had had a great association for more than four decades. He was one of the most talented actors in the country, who was not recognised for his brilliance and talent adequately by the central government.

Girish Kasarvalli - Director
Vishnuvardhan had the courage to attempt a lot of roles. He handled the roles with such ease. Look at the manner in which he played an angry young man in Naagarahavu.

I was his great fan as a child. When I became an actress, I was lucky enough to act with him early in my career. I have acted with him in many films, including the big hit Yajamaana.

I have lost my big strength and support with the death of Dr Vishnu sir. I delivered my biggest hits with him in Suryavamsha, Simhadhriya Simha, Sirivantha and Veerappa Nayaka. He was terrific in front of the camera and would add a lot of strength to the characters he played.

Sahasa Simha Dr. Vishnuvardhan passed away: Video

Kannada actor Sahasa Simha Dr. Vishnuvardhan passed away. Vishnuvardhan was born to Late Sri. H.L. Narayana Rao and Late Smt. Kamakshamma. His father was an artist and script writer for movies. His family made a living in Mysore's Chamundipura. In those days, his father was well known for his collection of Musical instruments and taught dancing. In fact, one of Vishnu's sister, Smt. Ramaramachandra was a Kathak dancer, who was praised by the then King of Mysore, Late Sri.Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar. VishnuVardhan died on 30th December, 2009 at around 3:00 am of severe heart attack. Vishnuvardhan was married to Kannada actress Bharati on 27 February 1975 at Kuchalamba Kalyana Mantapa in Bangalore. He had two adopted daughters, Keerthi and Chandana. Keerthi is married to Anirudh, an upcoming actor in the Kannada Film industry. Vishnuvardhan has one elder brother and four sisters. He was a great actor. He contributed very rich to the Kannada film industry.

Dr. Vishnuvardhan died of a heart attack

Dr. Vishnuvardhan died of a heart attack in Mysore late on on Wednesday morning. POpular Kannada actor passed away at the age of 59 years due to breathing problems at about 2:30am Night on Wednesday and he was immediately taken to a private hospital where he passed away. All schools and colleges in Karnataka will remain closed on Wednesday as per Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa's orders as a mark of respect for Vishnuvardhan.

Vishnuvardhan was a popular actor and singer in the Indian state of Karnataka. He is popularly regarded as one of the most versatile, talented, stylish and popular actors in the Kannada film industry. His role in romantic, action, emotional, music, comedy or family dramas have been widely popular. Born Sampath Kumar, he adopted the name Vishnuvardhan at the instance of Puttanna Kanagal who directed his maiden film Nagarahavu.
