Kannada film Gokula review and ratings. This week another Kannada movie called Gokula has been released which stars Vijay Raghavendra, Pooja Gandhi, Nakshtra, Yash, Pavan and Raghuraj. The casting is perfect. Veterans Sreenivasa Murthy and Sumithra have really lived their roles. Mano Murthy and Sathya Hegde's work is top class. The editing is superb too. All in all, Gokula is a treat to watch.

On a whole, although there is nothing spectacular about Gokula, it doesn’t fail to keep you engaged till the very last frame. And maybe that’s what Prakash calls family entertainers!

Vijay Raghavendra has given a well measured performance. Yash is in a hurricane role, Raghuraj and Pawan are funny to watch. Pooja Gandhi has blown up in her physique and acting is pleasant. The newcomer Nakshtra steals the show with her brief presence. Sathya Hegde in his camera gives a comfortable feel to the eyes. The framing of Satya Hegde is very good.

The film is more of a regular formula entertainer and there is not much logic or depth given to the script. While the first half goes about with the elements of comedy and introducing the characters, it is the second half when things get serious and take an emotional turn. The technical values were alright and if the writing had good strength, it would have clicked. Overall, this is an average fare at the box office so maybe a section of the family audience would like it.
