As you all know Varadanayaka is remake of Telugu superhit film Lakshyam which was led by Gopichand, Jagapathi Babu and Anushka Shetty. Rediff - 3/5
Varadanayaka is a mass entertainer that should be watched for Sudeep.

IBNLive - 3/5
'Varadanayaka' is a must watch for Kiccha Sudeep's fans, but it will also prove enjoyable for those who like commercial revenge dramas with huge budgets.

IndiaGlitz - 6/10
On the whole it is action more than reaction!

Jogayya Kannada Movie Review

Jogayya Kannada Movie Review. Latest Kannada film Jogayya reviews and star rating from different sources. Shivrajkumar's 100th movie Jogayya review, there are mixed responses for the film.

Supergoodmovies - 3/5
The first half is not a lively and kicking one for the audience. That is made tolerable because of three songs. In the second half the feast of underworld is given for the front benchers. There is only struggle in this film but not the substance. The rocking hero of Kannada cinema Shivarajakumar even today is not properly made use by director Prem.

Rediff - 2/5
So what then lives up to the hype that was generated? Songs, undoubtedly. Why else would one want to watch the film? For Shivarajkumar. The actor has the same energy, innocence and aura of Jogi. Pooja Gandhi is cast in small role. Heroine Sumeet Kaur is mostly limited to songs. Jogi was undoubtedly more powerful than Jogayya….

OneIndia - 4/5
The movie has been made wonderfully, but it does not mean that there are no drawbacks in it. The movie has several lapses and inconsistencies, which go unnoticed due to the interesting narration of the story. Overall, it is a perfect entertainer movie, which should not be missed out this weekend. Watch it in theatres.

Bellitere - 2.5/5
In his 100th film, Shivarajkumar does well. But he had a better scripted and believable character in Jogi and this character is just a patch on that. But he a livewire in the film as usual. An average film. Shivarjkumar deserved better in his 100th film.

Yogaraj But Kannada Movie Review & Rating

Yogaraj But Kannada Movie Review & Rating. Latest Kannada film Yogaraj Butmovies reviews by different sources, this movie stars Naveen Krishna and Neethu in lead roles and here are the reviews.

Supergoodmovies - 2.5/5

This Yogaraja…But is inspired from the ‘Prince of Persia’ – ‘Sands of Time’ in its story line. That inspiration is OK but what about the second half making? It is illogical and impossible is attempted.

Chitraloka

Yogaraj is a sure fire entertainer which also sets you into something serious. A film that is needed to be watched and encouraged.

Rediff - 2/5
Dayal has claimed that this is the best film he has done, but viewers might think that is not saying much.

IndiaGlitz - 3/5

The interest and curiosity the first half contained in 'Yogaraja...But' is carried over in the second half instead of succumbing to divine powers this film would have reached good height.

Krishnan Marriage Story Movie Review

Krishnan Marriage Story Movie Review. New Kannada film Krishnan Marriage Story review and star ratings by different sources. The movie Krishnan Marriage Story stars Ajay and Nidhi Subbaiah in lead roles and here are the reviews.

Rediff - 2.5/5

Nutan's maiden effort has a perfect beginning. Had he retained the charm of the first half, Krishnan Marriage Story would have been the big fat Indian wedding that every family in town would want to attend!

Supergoodmovies - 2.5/5

Running so well in the first half ‘Krishnan Marriage Story’ falls flat in the second half! Brevity is what this director should have learnt. The narration and dialogues are circumspect in the first half. Otherwise the film looks like a television serial.

Bellitere - 2.5/5

There is an army of character artists who play a close knit family and they might be offended if we review their performances separately! Suffice to say that they have all done well. An ok film, which could have been much better!

Shrimathi Kannada Movie Review

Shrimathi Kannada Movie Review. Latest Kannada film Shrimathi starring Upendra, Priyanka upendra and Celina jaitely has been released this Friday and there have been poor responses all over. Here are the reviews and star ratings by different sources.

Supergoodmovies - 2/5
This is not a film for superstar Upendra caliber. It is eventually a fight between two women, Celina Jaitley and Priyanka. Upendra had agreed for this film in 2009 and it is bad luck that the film is releasing in 2011 after his ‘Super’ Kannada film giving excellent results for him.
Bharatstudent - 2.25/5
The film happens to be the remake of the Bollywood film Aitraaz which in turn was the inspiration from the Hollywood flick Disclosure. Anyways, the Kannada version lacked the grip and the only thing that might pull some audience is the hot scenes and the drama in court. While the first half is about the layering of the plot, the second half deals with the courtroom drama and the flashback. Overall, this is a film which came in with high expectations but doesn't have that depth to keep the audience engaged. At the box office, this could be a below average grosser.
Indiaglitz - 2.5/5
Prem Chopra is wasted and so is Sayyaji Shindhe. Camera work result from Johny Lal is lost in the post production of the film. GK has scored two good tunes but they are not long lasting.

Bellitere - 2/5

Bollywood veterans like Prem Chopra and Shaji Shindhe are wasted. Telugu actor Kota Srinivasa Rao is good. Stay at home with Shrimathi, preferably your own.

Jolly Boy Kannada Movie Review

Jolly Boy Kannada Movie Review. Jolly Boy movie reviews by different sources starring Diganth and Rekha in lead roles.

Supergoodmovies - 2/5

. A remake of ‘16’ – Pathiaaru - Tamil cinema released in February 2011, is a teenage love story in the flashback and responsible love story in the end part but irresponsible love story in the beginning of the film. Village lifestyle and mind is the best till today. Mass media should not corrupt such minds.

Bellitere - 2/5

Diganth plays a carefree character in the film, and the script is almost careless about him. Since this is the story of a boy who doesn’t have to do much anyway, the role suits him well. Rekha is ok. Not something that can lighten up your weekend.

Dhan Dhana Dhan Movie Review

Dhan Dhana Dhan Movie Review. Another Kannada movie released this friday is Dhan Dhana Dhan starring Prem and Sharmila mandre, the reviews of this movie has been poor and it is on the way to flop.

Supergoodmovies - 2/5

This is a remake of 2002 made Hindi film ‘Hum Kisise Kum Nahin’. While doing remakes the quality should be top class or on par with the original film. Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgun, Aishwarya Rai, Sanjay Dut starring film ‘Hum Kisise Kum Nahin’ lacks standards in Kannada. Technically this film is well below average. It is a low quality film because the director Ramnath Rigvedi has just rolled the entire film in the camera without giving instructions to the artists.

Bellitere - 1/5

Sharmila Mandre looks gorgeous, but she has nothing much to do apart from standing still in every frame and laughing at this inefficient script. But it seems the producer had the last laugh as he is yet to pay her dues for this film. Ravishanker tries too hard to be funny and he isn’t. Adi Lokesh roams around in Munnabhai getup and he does OK. Miss it, please.

Supergoodmovies - 2.5/5

This is a remake of Tamil film ‘Kalavani’. It is frame to frame saga of love but even the heroine of the film remains the same. That is Ovia. The interesting part of the film is the music, smart and cunning style of the protagonist Nandisha, played by Yash.

Kempegowda Movie Review and Ratings

Sudeep and Raagini starrer Kempegowda movie has been released and has got positive reviews and ratings from all the media and audiences.

OneIndia - 4/5

Director-cum-actor Sudeep's much-expected movie Kempe Gowda is really superb with all its sound production values, except one blunder, which has been often committed by the most of the Kannada filmmakers. The first half of the flick has been shot in Rona (North Karnataka) and the hero Kempe Gowda is born and brought up in Rona, but he speaks Bangalore Kannada.

Supergoodmovies - 3.5/5

Overall the film is too good for fans of Sudeep. For others it will be a complete paisa vasool.

TimesofIndia - 3.5/5

There's a typical `Sudeep touch' to the script, which focuses on an honest police officer taking on a don in his own way. With gripping action sequences, the movie is sure to keep you hooked.

IndiaGlitz - 3.5/5

Like how no story is written but rewritten this remake of Tamil film ‘Singam’ (Suriya film released in May 2010) a bumper crop is having all the shades of a an entertainer and the pace of the film, force of the film, purpose of the film, technical qualities and production values are much above in standards.

Upendra Super Movie Review

Upendra Super Movie Review and Rating:
4.5/5

Cast: Upendra, Nayanthara, Tulip Joshi, Sadhu Kokila, Ali, Jeeva, Sudarshan, Shylasri, Nagendra Shah, Rockline Venkatesh, Shwetha and others
Cinematography: Ashok Kashyap and Johny Lal,
Music: V Harikrishna
Producer: Rockline Venkatesh
Story, Screenplay, Dialogues, Direction: Upendra

STORY:

It is a futuristic cinema. Upendra takes the audience to 2030 in this film. How the Indian rule British will be he has focused in this screenplay based, technical excellence cinema. More than story the using of technology the glamour and glitz the fast pace of the film the punching dialogues are in unbeatable Upendra style.

Coming to the crux of the story Subash Chandra Gandhi (Upendra) residing in London owning Gandhi and Gandhi Company the multi billionaire company immensely a true Indian falls in love with Indira (Nayanthara) hoping that she is a traditional girl. But Indira has different purpose to serve in London meeting Gandhi (Subash Chandra Gandhi is cut short to Gandhi). She is on a revenge mission. Her target is to kill Gandhi. That is because he is responsible for Mandira elder sister of Indira to reach the coma stage in life. As usual Upendra makes the audience to believe this but he has different issues to prove that the belief of Indira is wrong.

After marrying Gandhi the modern outlook of Indira surface. She ditches Gandhi in the name of love and marriage. She even throws the sacred Mangalasutra from her neck on the face of Gandhi. Indira throws a challenge to Gandhi to remain an ordinary citizen in India. At this point of time she does disclose her mission. So the film moves the social issues in India. Gandhi coming to Bangalore faces the difficult task. He makes effort to solve the pensioner problem of a school teacher but fails miserably. The attitude in the society disturbs him to the hilt. When his father reaches Bangalore from London to take him back to London Gandhi takes the strong decision of residing in India and changing the fortune common man.

Around this time Indira also in India hatches plot to kill Gandhi. That is not easy now. With 10 millions pounds from his father in India Gandhi starts a multinational company of Rowdies. His fixes the deal in the ultra modern style.

When you feel what happened to Mandira (Tulip Joshi) who is in Coma the efforts of Gandhi make him to become a chief minister of the state. According to him CM means not Chief Minister but Common Man.

After becoming the chief minister Gandhi announce that he is going to rape his wife Indira. Indira is forcibly brought to a special room. The rape attempt Gandhi makes on Indira has some other good cause in him.

It is a rape in one room, sale of state in another place and in London Gandhi father is explaining that why Gandhi has taken such steps in his life.

ANALYSIS:

This is a colorful best cinema with extra ordinary style not missing out the substance. Every shot of this film finely chiseled by Upendra and he shows the ample time and money is extended to him the wonders are possible. Upendra in his come back has gone ahead. The thought of 2030 India is something notable.

The first half is itself a Paisa Vasool. The second half is a bonus. The film never misses on the entertainment front. The capturing of scenes and its hard hitting style is the need of the hour. The audience tucked in front of the television sets should come and watch this kind cinema after the rush in the theatres calm down.

The film is crowded with people on the screen in almost every scene. The magnificent style is what brings the repeated audience for this film.

Upendra belong to the category of not saying but doing. This is what he kept up from the day of launch of the film. He never left a clue on the contents of his film. Perhaps he had the fever of boasting would result in wrong complications and interpretations.

This is the style of Upendra after 10 years he has groomed up and his courage to say something startling to the society. At many places Upendra sharp dialogues the ironical style of addressing the public at large is most wanted for out society.

The recent three months happening in the politics of Karnataka is very much evident in the film. The horse trading of the government Upendra wishes to call as donkey trading. The issue of another political personality Halappa is also tucked in the screenplay.

In the beginning Upendra referring to 2030 of India for first ten minutes is silently narrated. It is only after he comes on the screen the grandeur, bash, crowd, dialogues, style all come together.

The film ‘Super’ that was announced as a symbol title has perfect relevance. It points to every individual of this country. Every one should love his nation, people and surroundings in a ‘Super’ style is the under current of this film.

Upendra has not given up confusing the audience. He became an actor from ‘A’ saying the film is ‘Buddivantharige Mathra’ (only for intelligent people) in a film of his own name Upendra he maintained the trick of his screenplay. Again in ‘Super’ he promises with excellent screenplay and dialogues.

PERFORMANCE:

Upendra is best in this kind of cinema. His dialogues, style, costume are terrific. When Upendra address the public the dialogues he has kept is worth hearing again. When he makes punching dialogues this is what required in style one would feel.

Nayanthara is superb in her role. This is not an ordinary role for her. Her screen presence and expressions are good. The dubbing artist has given extra life to her role. Tulip Joshi is just in the skin show in one song.

Sadhu Kokila and Telugu actor Ali in the combination looks after the comedy department. Both are fabulous in their histrionics and dialogues. When both come up as ‘Chaddi brothers’ pointing to ‘Reddy Brothers’ of the Karnataka state government the audience have good time.

Sudarshan as father of Upendra struggles and so is Upendra father role character in the film. Many of the artists just come and go in one scene.

TECHNICALITY:

This is a high style extravaganza in cinematography, editing and music. All the three departments are marvelous.

The London locations, the raw places in Bangalore are well captured by Ashok Kashyap. The special effects for this film – showing high rise buildings behind Vidhana Soudha and High Court is not convincing. If that is 2030 of Bangalore where are the metro rails that are up already with pillars in Bangalore.

V Harikrishna has given required sound and melody. Sikka Patte Ishta Patte…where nearly 1000 plus dancers take place is chilling. The style of Upendra…..Superro…..Ranga….is fabulous for his fans!

Come on Come on Director…..Missamma….song in London has the captions on screen.

Technical advancement of the film is no do doubt in the high scale.

Last but not the least: This is worth watching cinema. It touches everyone heart. The need to live united and lead clean life the film ‘Super’ focus finally becomes a social awareness cinema.

Lift Kodla Movie Review and Ratings - Jaggesh, Komal

Lift Kodla Movie Review and Ratings - Jaggesh, Komal. Latest Kannada movie Lift Kodla Review starring Jaggesh, Komal, Raju talikoti, and Archana Gupta, here are the reviews -

Bangalore Mirror - 3.5/5
Lift Kodla, a remake of the Telugu movie Mee Sreyobhilash, is an emotional drama with a liberal dose of humour. Cinematography by Ashok Cashyap is breathtaking. The dialogues are crisp and engaging. Komal and Raju Talikote impress in their respective roles as a failed film actor and bus driver. Inspite of some glitches, the film is worth a watch.

Chitraloka
Lift Kodla is one of those rare films that will lift the spirits of the audience. Most film makers claim that their films have 'message.' But Lift Kodla definitely has more than that. Cinematographer Ashok Cashyap, who has directed this film, has managed to tell a positive story in a crisp narrative laced with dollops of humor.

Eradane Madhuve Movie Review - Anant Nag, Sharan, Tara

Eradane Madhuve Movie Review - Anant Nag, Sharan, Tara. Latest Kannada Movie Eradane Madhuve Movie Review, the film stars Anant Nag, Sharan, Tara, Raghu and others, here are the reviews -

IndiaGlitz - 4/5
Ananth and Suhasini steal the show. Sharan and Thara have proved their ability as good performers. Rangayana Raghu, Jennifer Kotwal, Premkumar are equally good. The witty dialogues and situations make the audience experience they are in ‘Laughing Club’. Jaipal has only one song Panduranga…..that is well sung. Dinesh Baboo in his camera also shines tremendously.

Bellitere - 3/5
Overall, Eradane Maduve doesn’t reach the levels of Golmal Radhakrishna or even Hendtigelbedi, the latter being directed by Dinesh Babu at a time when he hadn’t yet sworn to make one film every 15 days. But still, it is a fun watch, a film you can watch with your family. Even if it’s a Petromax story!

Punda Movie Review - Yogish, Meghana Raj

New Kannada film Punda Review starring Yogish, Meghana Raj in lead and Sharat Lohitashva, Petrol Prasanna, Asharani in other roles. The movie Punda is directed by H Vasu and music is composed by Manu Mathew. Here are the reviews -

IndiaGlitz - 3/5
With a worn out subject, director H Vasu losing the nativity elements too, brought in ‘Polladhavan’ remake that is ‘Punda’. The dark night effect that is maintained purposefully throughout the film is what is notable in the film. The trivial issues blown out of proportion are showing us where we stand in cinema making. The protagonist has only two points to fulfill in his life. One is motorbike and the other one his lady love. For this adding masala is a mismatch. What is a hit in Tamil is strain in Kannada version.

BangaloreMirror - 3/5
The credit for Punda being a good watch should go to the original makers. A good performance by Yogish and Meghana. The songs do not stand up to the standard of Yogish’s earlier films. Despite some blood sport, Punda is worth a watch.

Krishna Love Story Movie Review - Ajay, Radhika pandit

Latest Kannada movie Krishna Love Story Review. The Kannad film Krishna Love Story stars Ajay and Radhika pandit, which is directed by Shashank. Here are the reviews -

Rediff - 3/5
The film is partly based on a true incident and thus has a real feel to it. It brings out the head versus heart dilemma that the youth in 'love' faces. However you may find it hard to digest a few sentimental dialogues and decisions. The second half drags a bit as well. Chandrashekar's camera work stands out in the climax. Krishnan Love Story is worth a one time watch.

Bellitere - 3/5
Overall, Krishnan Love Story is a neat film. If the second half was as good as the first half, it could have been really good.

IndiaGlitz - 3.5/5
Shekar Chandru’s climax, capturing of water falls, the rush of water, mountains plus greenery is impeccable. In the top angle shots Shekar Chandru is extremely good. This film would give him awards.

BangaloreMirror - 2.5/5
Shashank manages to create interesting characters, but the room for them to grow remains limited. He pays great attention to character details, but fails to bring them together in the right proportions. Brilliant cinematography by Shekar Chandru and art work are aspects to watch out for, in the film. The music, though pleasant, isn’t great to give the film a push. Radhika Pandit, who plays Geetha, does a brilliant job while Ajai packs in his acting prowess.
